Jay Turner is an associate professor at Wellesley College. This website is a product of his research into the the history, policies, and sustainability issues related to batteries. Professor Turner has published articles on the lead-acid battery industry and policies related to managing single-use batteries at end of life. This research has been supported by funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Science Foundation.
